Art Ovation Hotel is a boutique property in the heart of downtown Sarasota. Flaunting an extensive art gallery, live music, and a rooftop pool, it sits steps away from attractions like the Sarasota Opera. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to nearby Lido Key Beach and St. Armands Circle. The rooms even come with a sketchbook and ukulele for guests who want to channel their inner artist during their stay.

The NLGA Spring Business Meeting will begin on the morning of Wednesday, April 8, and adjourn in the late morning on April 10. 

Important notes for booking:

  • Deadline to book in the NLGA block of rooms at the group rate is March 16, 2026 but rooms may sell out sooner
  • NLGA has a block of rooms at the Art Ovation Hotel at a rate of $267/night plus taxes and fees
    • Room rate includes a $28/night destination fee that includes access to the following amenities: Wi-Fi access in guest rooms and public areas, daily Art & Wine Tour, free courtesy shuttle service within a 3-mile radius (including Lido Beach & St. Armands Circle), beach chairs / umbrella / towels / cooler, nightly entertainment (Wed-Sat) and daily art immersion programs.
  • You should inquire directly with the Art Ovation Hotel about room rates before or after the NLGA meeting
  • Attendees must cancel hotel reservations no later than 72 hours before arrival to avoid cancellation fees.  NLGA cannot waive or modify the hotel’s cancellation fees
  • NLGA will reimburse most travel expenses for NLGA Members (lieutenant governors, seconds-in-command) only to attend this meeting, including hotel room nights and airfare, per the policy below
  • Ground transportation is “on your own” for all meeting attendees

Travel Reimbursement Policy

NLGA Members’ Travel Reimbursement (lieutenant governors, seconds-in-command only):  NLGA will reimburse Members (lieutenant governors/seconds-in-command only) for their personal hotel room at the group rate for Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday (April 7, April 8, and/or April 9) while attending the meeting, and for their personal coach class airfare up to $1,000. Ground transportation to/from the airport is on your own. 

To receive a reimbursement check at your seat at the Spring Business Meeting, complete THIS FORM and email your airfare receipt and completed form to NLGA at sploetz@nlga.us no later than March 30, 2026.

The final deadline to submit receipts for reimbursement is May 11, 2026.  Email your airfare receipt and completed form to sploetz@nlga.us by August 8, and NLGA will independently verify your hotel stay and have the airfare and hotel reimbursement mailed. Any reimbursement request received after that date cannot be paid.  NLGA cannot reimburse for class or seat selection above coach, nor for upgrade, baggage, change or cancellation fees, including any hotel change or cancellation fee.
