The Public Leadership in Energy and Environmental Stewardship award is given in partnership with Baker Hughes in recognition of a NLGA member who is committed to working within a state, region and/or communities as a steward of both energy and the environment. The award recognizes an official who played key roles regarding energy and environmental stewardship enhancing the lives of constituents and impacting every aspect of American life including energy, the economy, community and building design, agriculture, water and other resources, clean technology, the environment, transportation, social problem solving, job creation, education, health and health care, and more.
