Through approved resolution of the NLGA members, NLGA maintains an Awards Program through which four annual awards are presented to NLGA members for exemplary achievement in select areas. NLGA presents each award collaboratively. Two awards are given at the Federal-State Relations Meeting. Two awards are given at the Annual Meeting.
To maintain the significant distinction of award selection, NLGA is limited to presenting four annual awards. A recipient must be present to receive the award. The Improving Lives and Communities award is presented by NLGA and Elevance Health each March at the NLGA Federal-State Relations meeting.
The Recycling Impact Award is presented by NLGA and the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries at the NLGA Annual Meeting.
The Government Innovators Award is presented by NLGA and Sourcewell each March at the NLGA Federal-State Relations Meeting.
